My Views on Current Hot Topics

Since I have been preaching through the Gospel of Matthew in my series The Gospel of the Kingdom, there are some topics I have touched on and others that I have not because they didn’t fit into the flow of the book. However, I want to make my position clear on some topics. These are my beliefs based on my interpretation of the Scriptures. I first want to start with the topic of abortion. While pro-abortion forces love to point out examples that are in the extreme and represent less than 1% of all abortions performed, I think that anyone with common sense will acknowledge that abortion has become yet another form of contraception for those who fail to use proper contraception methods to prevent pregnancies. While I certainly feel empathy with those who are raped or others who experience certain extreme circumstances that result in pregnancies, I am not here to debate what should or should not happen in those circumstances.
